I can either get a dog or cat. If we get a dog it will be a Yellow Lab and a Golden Retriver mix. If we get a cat it will be a kitten, but we are not sure what type. The dog will be a puppy. Thanks!
P.S. Please give me information on mixed Yellow Labs and Golden Retrivers. Thanks again!

Well, I will spend a lot of time on this question. First of all, let's talk about kittens. They usually do not like loving, that's a con. They poop themselves. You only need to change the litter box once a day. That's a pro. They don't walk if you take them for one. That's a con. They Will chew on things, and jump on counters. That's a double con. They are furry and cute. That's a pro. They usually wont bite you. That's a nothing, dogs wont either. And, finally, cats meow. Now, let's do dogs. Dogs poop outside. That's a con. They bark. They will walk. That's a pro. They love to play. Pro. They will cuddle with you. Pro. They are much more work. Con. Now, lets total up the cons and pros and see our results...
Cats----- Pros---2-----Cons---4
Dogs-----Pros---3-----Cons---2
Looks like dogs are statisticly 'better,' but I have two cats. A gold one and a black one. Goldie and Mr.Mooyan. Hope thiis helps and have a great day! -question001
you will be happy with that dog. They are very smart. They like to learn. They also have high energy, and chew some when they are pups. But what pup doesn't. They are great farm dogs. Loyal to the bone. You will love the dog. But kittens are cute too. I love kittens.
dogs are always preferable. you can rely on them more and they're really helpful and a good company. cats are fine but no match for dogs. a pup..gr8 idea.
Dogs have owners, cats has servants
The thing is, cats dont stay kittens forever, and they grow up to be surly and unaffectionate (though still cute). Dogs, on the other hand, are loyal and amazing, so if you want a long term companion, go for the dog. Both the breeds you mentioned have great temeperments and are easy to train, but they both shed. If thats not an issue, than ok. Good Luck!!
I would prefer a dog because they are playful and ihave one. If I haven't have a dog i will choose a cat because they are calm and quiet.
Dogs are more babies, you have to take em out to pee and for walks when it is raining and minus 30 degree weather. Cats are more independant and don't need as much attention. They can use the litterbox and you can leave them for a day or two if you have to with little supervision.
Get a dog. Get a pug!

DOG. . . all I know about the labs and retrivers, is that my friends have them and they are the ONLY large dogs that
I like. Kind, loving, protective.
That is desirable traits in my book.
ill go with the the dog
they are can be so loyal to
you and if even you boss them around,
they wont ask for a pay check!!!
Get a dog! more cuter and you can take a walk with your dog and you can't do that with your cat. dog are better.
A Cat. They are so cuddly and soft. They sleep with you and wake you up early for their feeding.
They don't bother you much when they are older, but when they are young they want to play all the time.
The best part is you don't have to train them to use the litter box , so if its raining or snowing you can just relax while all the doggy owners are out in the nasty weather. I keep my cat indoors.
Of course, I like dogs too, because you can interact more with them and take them with you when you go out. But watch the ticks and fleas!
