I agree with some of the others. He is in shock. The best thing for you to do is to take him some place quiet and dark. Let him rest for a while and be sure to check on him every 15 minutes or so. If he is eating that is a good sign so just give him some time. If he isn't back to his normal self by in the morning I would take him to the vet and have him checked out. Hope he is okay! Don't feel bad. We all have accidents at one time or another with our little fur balls.
i dont know what to do now but if he gets better but is acting strange i heard that sometimes when a hamster is dropped he/she gets brain damage and will act kind of strange.
it can probably be scared.thats what happened last time,i spinned it(dont remember why)and then it started to shake without moving
I think he was very frightened and he fainted. I've known of a guinea pig that did that.

Keep an eye on him bit leave him alone and don't try to pick him up for a few hours. Let him recover from his fright. Chances are if he got up and ran into his nest he will be okay. (Hamsters can actually die of fright..be scared to death.)

Don't be too hard on yourself. It was an accident. I think most pet owners have accidentally hurt or scared their pets at least once.
He may be just a bit shocked at taking a sudden fall off the chair. Give him a few days of quiet , but check that he is eating and drinking. maybe give him a treat and see that he calms down.
He is in shock just put him back in his cage and let him rest...you can't really do anything for him now...
Most likely he had spinal shock.Being the ball is round and his back bone is straight. When landing flat in the ball the middle of their back goes downwards and causes a shock to the nervous system. They tend to temporarily lose bladder control and most motor functions. In a slight injuries these symptoms are temporary. In a major event they can cause death.Sounds like he will be fine.
He is prolly just a little tramatized from falling, but he should be fine, they always get out of it..
