Dwarf Hamster - What is a good bedding to use?

Im Just curious what would be the best bedding to use %26 The best food to give them?
Answers:
I use shredded paper (tv mags) and harry hamster food its got more vitamins in it
I HAVE A DWARF HAMSTER TOOO!!1
i use the special bedding that takes up the whole cage
also use the nutrition food that actually SAYS what it has in it
we use pine shavings in our classroom.
Hay,my dwarf hamster loved it.They like because they can make nice holes,it works better than sawdust...Food:Birdseed works good too and crickets!
I like th cotton bedding. If I were you I would not use wood shavings. In captivity, they do well
on a diet of pellets intended for the feeding of rats and mice, such as Purina Rodent Chow. A seed-based diet is not recommended for the captive animal, as they will pick and choose the tastiest seeds and leave the rest. This self-selection leads to nutritional deficiencies
and reduced lifespan. Seeds, or a premium-style seed/dried-vegetable mix, are much appreciated as a treat, however. They also enjoy fresh vegetables, but greens should be avoided or fed in VERY small quantities only, as they can cause severe digestive upsets. Carrots seem to be relished, as are potatoes.
Ive been told don't use pine shavings and stuff like that cause it stuffs up there respiratory tract you can use paper shredded or cardboard I use towels and change them daily for my little guys I give them a general grain mix esp made for hamsters and also each day give them some fresh veg's but not to much green stuff because it can give them the run's
Care fresh is the best way to go, it's safe and clean. Food wise, try getting "hamster' food in bags or containers in the pet store, make sure it's not too 'colorful' meaning, it doesn't have too much green puffs and crushed corn, especially sunflower seeds! they are very high in fat I believe, and should be fed sparingly
The best bedding for all hamsters is Paper based. You can use the Yesterday's News Bedding. Then give them toilet paper to make a nest of.

DO NOT USE: Cedar Bedding, Corn Cob Bedding. Both of these are fatal to hamsters.

Pine, Aspen bedding may be used however it also has oils in it which can become harmful to hamsters.

As for food, Hamsters are allowed to eat: Broccolli, Yogurt, Goat's Milk, Any Bird seed, do not give too many sunflower seeds it weakens their teeth. Apples and ALL hamsters LOVE TOFU! very good for them to eat. Buckwheat, and other grains.

Give them wood chews because their teeth are constantly growing. Fresh Water daily.

Never feed a hamster, Lettuce (had laudenuam in it) Carrots (too much sugar content) Garlic (FATAL)
