What are specificly dwarf/fancy dwarf hamsters in pet shops? Is this another name for a certain hamster,and if so what is it?

Dwarf hamsters are a small breed of hamster. They are very fast so are not good hamsters for small children. They are not as the one person stated mean hamsters. If you have a mean hamster then you did something wrong. I have 10 dwarf hamsters in total and all are sweet and loving and none are biters or mean.
Fancy hamsters are names they give to hamsters of specific color to raise the price of them.
If you want to get a first time hamster I would advise getting a Syrian hamster, they are slower than other breeds and are naturally sweet.
To Tame your hamster feed it tofu or broccolli in your hand or on your lap they will associate your scent with the food they love and then will be your best friend for life.
They are just hampsters that have been bred to be smaller or in some cases fancier like with long silky hair etc. I suggest you try your local library.
