Dog food question!?

A starved hunting dog is staying around with us because we have been feeding her and cleaning her up. She is skin and bones completely and VERY sweet. We're going to clean her up and feed her for a while before we figure out what to do with her. How many times a day should she be fed? We have been feeding her twice a day with eggs, bread, doggie biscuits, and dog food.
Answers:
you have it down. She will probably need medical attention to be sure that internally she is healthy. unless you are thinking of keeping her and paying her vet costs contact your local shelter and they will help her out and get her ready to be adopted.
Twice a day seems just fine. I'd cut out the bread, though. It's only a filler, and being skin %26 bones, she doesn't need a filler.
2-3 times if she's really skinny. best thing to do is get her checked by a vet, or the shelter.
I wouldn't give her bread, it can cause bloating and distension, (gas?) but apart from that 2-3hrly small meals with good balance of protein, veg and carbohydrate and water - not milk. Good luck and Bless you!

Keep us posted on her progress please.
Three times a day should be enough, but the eggs and bread really aren't healthy for her. Feed her soft dog food. That should fill her up. Good Luck!
