Does your lovable pet greet you when you come home? How?

Answers:
My cat, Patch, is always asleep when we come in and he comes up to us, meowing, purring, rubbing our legs and just generally wanting to be loved (and food of course!)

My guinea pigs, Pepper and Beauty, always come up to the side of their cage when I open my bedroom door to see who is coming in. They start squeeking/wheeking and popcorning around their cage.

My hamster, Charlie, always wakes up when I open my bedroom door but doesn't really "greet" me, he stands on his back legs and stares at me though ;)

The fishies...well, they don't notice whether we're here or not, and when we go into the chicken pen (or near it) they all come up to the gate.
yes all 4 of them, jumping on me mostly, but thats cool!
yep, my 3 kittens, Rocky, Rambo n Princess all run too see me when i walk through the door, then start to pat the hem of my skirt till i give them some fuss!! wish my hubby was this welcoming-lol!!
Wheres my food.
Sounds weird, but yes. My Volital Lionfish greets me everytime I come home. Our aquarium is set up in the hallway by the front doorand the living room. Everytime you walk by he stares at you. Really bizarre. He's like a dog really. I'm going to teach him to let me scratch his chin.
Yep!

Glass of wine, and tea on the table!

I have him EXTREMELY well trained!

LOL!!
Yes, they are both at the door wagging their tails. They do this if I go out with the trash and come right back or gone for hours. That's what unconditional love is all about!;^)
Yes!! She is always waiting at the door for me and does what I like to think of as a little dance for me. She is a blond Pomeranian and is always happy to see me!
Our lovely little cat used to greet us everytime we walked into the apartment. He greeted us with scratches up our legs until we were sore and bloody. We kindly put him out of the house in an army bag under a parked car.
Yes, huge stamping feet, wagging tail that nearly detaches itself with the speed and nudges of the legs by her furry head and a strange skipping dance. She is our lodger. Actually she is a very old Airedale Terrier with a shaggy old coat but our favourite little girl nonetheless. Our Cockatiel sings his "happy song" and chirrups wildly how about you?
Our German Shepherd dog licks us on our knees in greeting. Runs round in circles as we come through the hall, and then sits to be petted as we take our coats off.

2 hours away or 2 minutes away, it's the same greeting. So lovely to come home to someone who is ALWAYS so pleases to see you.
ya, he gets excited and jumps all over me, he's a dog by the way
when I open the front door I have 5 cats rushing out to greet me, I came home earley one day and my daughter was in the front room, as I came to the door , one of my cats was sat in the front window and made funney mews , she had seen me coming up the path and warned my daughter.
they were bored all day, or you forgot to feed them!!!
Yes, my little dog sits on the sofa watching the window until he sees me coming up the path and then runs to the door and goes mad trying to lick me to death! I usually get home just before my husband and if you say to Gordon (that's the dog), 'where's daddy!' he goes mental and leaps all over him when he comes in the door!
My cats (if they're inside) sit in the upstairs window and when they see the car they come down to the back door so they're there when I open it - then they have a little cuddle and some strokes and then usually start yelling for food!
Even the fish swim about when I turn they're light on and if I open the lid to feed them some of them nibble at my fingers!
I love my babies so much and they make coming home such a nice place to return to - it's nice to know that they love me too!
Yea. All four of my Shih Tzus come running and jumping up on my legs trying to climb me and when I reach down to pet them they all lick me and one tries to hump my hand...
Love, my baby cat, Furgus, knows that I'm coming home and has learnt at what time.
He spends all his time with me, in return, I let him sleep with me in my room, I give him hugs, I tickle his belly, I play with him, I pick him up occassionally (Don't pick your pet up every few minutes, they'll start to scratch, believe me, I learnt it the hard way!)
Buy your pet some treats, then , when he's been really good, sneak him some.
Another way to train your pet to greet you when you come home is to take treats with you. When you get home, if he/she is there waiting for you, then give him/her a treat.

My German Shepherd tackles me and when I walk in all of the ferrets are standing against the cage door looking at me, which i'm sure they could care less if i'm home or not all they want is to get out... *lol* "they use me" :(
My dog runs up to me, tail wagging, rubbing her face up against me and follows me around for a bit. She also grins (smiling is very common in dalmatains) which is so funny.
My dog usually greet me with something he shouldn't. Namely usually a toy or item of clothing belonging to my son. His favourite at the moment is Duplo bloocks!!
My two cats don't bat an eyelid when i walk in.
The don't bother to move themselves off the landing.
i have 3 dogs and when i get home they jump up at me then grab there leads and sit wagging there tails waiting for me to take them for a walk
my cat meows at me when i come home then it gets fed
