Does it hurt alot wen guine pigs bite and draw blood?
Answers:
not really. the first 3 seconds hurt like hell and you'll be mad. but after that it really doesn't hurt its just the sight of blood that freaks you out and in your mind you think it slightly hurts. but most guinea pigs wont bite you unless they are completely unfamiliar.
Well, yes. Just like any other animal, when they bite hard enough to break the skin, it's going to hurt pretty badly.
yes and some times you cant stop the bleeding be very careful
I haven't been bitten by a guinea pig EVER and yet I have owned over 40 guinea pigs as pets in my life. Need I say more? :-)
They are not biting animals. The most mine do is give me a friendly nibble - it tickles!
Only if your nervous system is not severly impaired or disabled in any way!
I have yet to be bitten by any of the pigs i've owned or cared for.
Mostly they're fear nippers... so if you're slow and gentle with them, you should be ok.
However- I did own a bunny who was a "I want attention now", and an affectionate nipper, and a hamster who was a "I'm cranky" nipper...
and neither were what I'd call painful.
Your finger will probably throb for an hour or so... just wash your hands with an antibacterial soap, and if you got bit to the point blood was drawn... let it bleed a little bit, THEN wash your hands and put on a bandaide.
You'll live. Its not that bad. and what ever throbbing you do have afterwards, goes away pretty quickly.
Just keep it clean.
It hurts a lot when ANYTHING bites and draws blood!
