Hamsters need a little more variety than that. Give them everything in the mix, and eventually they will start eating other items. Also, you can give them carrot pieces, lettuce scraps, small pieces of apple and even unsalted crackers.
yea give them sunflower seeds cuz my hamster only eats thoses 2
Give them all of the food. If they get too hungry they have an option to eat that way.
give them a variety but also a seperate bowl of seeds.
all of there food not just sunflower seeds

sunflower seeds are real fatning and are not as good for your hammys then all of it
Just give them all the food. Those seeds may be their favorite, but they will eat some of the rest as well.

You can also occasionally give them a little fruit (like apples or pears) and carrots as treats. No more than 1 or 2 baby carrots or 1 or 2 slices of fruit.
I have a Teddy Bear Hamster (Molly 4years old) and she loves, carrots, lettuce, apples, zuccini and nectarines along with the dry food.
It's better to give them a variety of food.
Give them the whole mixture. As they grow, they might develop a taste for the other seeds. Don't forget to give them small amounts of fresh veggies and friut.

When they are a little older, hamsters also love yogurt and raw hamburger meat. But don't put these in their cage. Take them out, and feed them a little yogurt off a spoon or give a little piece of raw meat. You don't want them storing stuff like that in their cage as it will rot and stink. Just let them have whatever they will eat right then and there.

Yes, that stuff is very good for them. Wild hamsters, (yes, they are wild, from Africa), are insect and veggie eaters. That's why a little raw meat here and there won't hurt them. (It says so in my "how to care for a hamster" book).
can someone answer my fancy mouse question. the one about the cages?
give them their regular food mix, and carrots, strawberrys, celery, apple slices, cheerios, dry spaghetti, small amount of raw ground beef, toast soaked in milk, remove when they are done to avoid spoiling, and try veggies always wash off first.
NO in fact start to take away their sunflower seeds. When a hamster exists only on sunflower seeds their teeth weaken and the chance of teeth problems is greater. Give them Tofu and Broccolli which will help their teeth. Also give them their hamster food but limit their treats such as yogurt drops and sunflower seeds.

All hamsters love: sunflower, pumpkin and nuts. However these are all to be limited. Give your hamsters their feed and limit all excess treats.

Never give a dwarf hamster Carrots or Lettuce. Carrots contain too much sugar and will increase the risk of Diabetes, Lettuce contains Laudanaum and should not be fed to any small animal.

Oh and odds are they are eating the other foods but stash their sunflowers very fast.
