Guinea Pigs...?

I bought my guinea pig from a pet shop today and was told she might be pregnant. assuming she got pregnant in the last week or so when will she start to 'look' pregnant?
Answers:
Unfortunately, this happens too much with pet store critters. It's unacceptable, it needs to stop, and the public needs to complain to these stores loudly. These animals are easy enough to sex, and there's no reason for putting males and females together.

You'll want to read http://www.guinealynx.com/reproduction.h...

I would also recommend signing up for a free ID to the Guinea Lynx forums. You're going to have a lot of questions over the next couple of months (during pregnancy) and even more once the babies arrive. You'll find plenty of that support in the GL forums.

You'll also serve yourself and your guinea pig well by finding a vet who specializes in exotic animals (vets who are not exotic specialists have no problem with telling you they aren't). Guinea Lynx has a Vet Finder page that will help you track down a vet in your area.
A guinea pig pregnancy lasts anywhere from 62-70 days. So that's a little over 2 months. If she just became pregnant last week, you probably won't be able to tell for at least four weeks and then she will get start looking plump. I'm sending a couple of links that will tell you a little more. The top of the first site is advertisements, but read down the page and you'll find some good info. The second link is even better! Good Luck!!!
Oh dear, well I suppose that's what happens at petstores ..

Okay so start off weighing your guinea pig weekly. She should start getting a lot heavier as time goes by. She will start to have a pear shaped bottom, where the little baby cavies will be. I'm going to give you some really good sites to look at. Everything should go pretty smoothly, good luck!

^ Excellent site!
She will get two big blobs near her abdomen. Feel them daily. Do you feel little guys squirming in there? For nutrition, a just give her extra veggies, extra vitamin C, and extra comfort.
If she is pregnant it will surely show with her wait - just give her some time until this will show. The below site will definately give you more and in deep information regarding guinea pigs pregnancy. Good luck
