My guinea pig used to always pee and poo in a little corner. We encourage this by putting more wood shavings in that area. However, she's begun to urinate in her mini-house instead, even though she still defecates in the corner. Is there anyway to discourage her from peeing in her house?

Guinea pigs whilst being fantastic little animals can sometimes be a bit all over the place with their bathroom habits (my two just seem to go everywhere which makes cleaning a pain!). It's quite normal for them to be like this, but you might be able to bring her back into line (so to speak) by getting the soiled bedding out of her mini house and putting it back in the corner and giving the little area a bit of a clean with some mild disinfectant and putting fresh bedding down over this. You'll have to be quite consistant in doing it and do it once a day or more - by cleaning it you'll be getting rid of traces of what makes it smell like a toilet area to her, and hopefully encourage her back over to her normal spot.
I had guinea pigs all of my childhood life. I know they have a mind of their own. They are not very consistant animals, though they are so sweet. I would say that she either just dont want to do it anymore or shes getting older and just dont remember things or her old habits. Well good luck, and sorry.
a change in bathroom habits can be a sign of health issues. you may want to check with the vet.
