Guinea Pig is biting?

I just got a new piggy probably about a month ago. The previouse owner said he was about 3 mo old. He is a satin and very crazy so we named him zippo. He wont let anyone pet him, if you do get a hold of him he nibbles and litterally bites. He bites his house, he bites his bedding, he bites the towel I put him on in the other cage so I can clean his house. He is not alone. He is also with my 1.5 yr old piggy. They are both males adn do not fight. I think now they would be lost without each other. Its jsut he will not let me hold him, pet him or get near him without bitting, running squeeling. I am about to give up. What to do??
Answers:
your guinea pig is not tame and will require long training to do, he may be nasty due to his last home as they may have done things to make him become self aware of humans.
he may not have been handled from a young age and this is why you are having troubles now.
bite it back
Bite him back and see how he feels.
well you cant sepperate them. just be friendly with the other one. the might still be young he might adjust still.
He has to learn to trust you so, be patient and encouraging when he does something nice. Training him with patience is the answer.
Make sure your little piggy has plenty of wood blocks to chew on, his teeth may be too long and this will give them the need to chew a lot. Also, he may not be familiar enough with you so even though he bites make sure you hold him a lot. I suggest putting either thick gloves on or wrapping your hands in towels if you don't want to be bitten. Best of luck with your new piggy!!!
He's not biting, he's nibbling on stuff. A bite is when they break the skin, so unless he is doing that then he is just nibbling.
Guinea pigs are constantly teething. As for the biting, that will eventually go away with a lot "scrunchings" and holding. Check out this site
